Exhibitions are open during normal museum opening hours: 
Monday to Friday 10.30am - 4.30pm                 Saturday 10am - 1.00pm.

Unless otherwise stated, admission charges for the exhibitions only are: Adults £1.00

Heritage Open Weekend

Heritage Open Weekend Friday 11th and Saturday 12th and September. The museum will be open both days 10:00-4:30 with FREE entry!

Coach Trip to Bletchley Park

16 September 2015

You will see the huts where the code breakers worked, learn the history of the 'Enigma' code machines, the development of the first 'computer - Colossus' which was built to break the German Codes, and much, much more.

The Museum of Computing is also at the same site, but owned by a different group, and can be visited, for a small extra charge.

£37 p/p (this ticket will allow you entrance again during the next 12 months).

Talk- WWI : Women Workers and Social Changes

01 October 2015

Linking in with our ’Munitions and Matrons’ exhibition, Sue Virgin (living history re-enactor) will be talking about the social changes brought about by the First World War.The talk starts at 7pm at the museum. Tickets £4.50, including light refreshments.

Craft activities (theme to be confirmed). Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th October. £2.50 per child.

Family craft activities: booking essential (places are limited) and there is a small charge (50p discount on family craft activities for members of the museum). Call the Museum or email education@tivertonmuseum.org.uk for information. Sessions run 11:00 to 12:30 and 2:00 to 3:30.

Munitions and Matrons

A temporary exhibition running from 8 August to 19 December. Admission: FREE entry

An exhibition examining the contribution that the Heathcoat Factory made to the war effort during the First World War. From 1915 the factory produced shell cases and components for very early gas masks. The exhibition explores the relationships between the factory and the town, the VAD hospital and the Heathcoat Amory family, as well as some of the stories of the people who worked there.

Knightshayes At War

The Museum and Knightshayes Court have been working together to produce related exhibitions. Knightshayes became a VAD (Voluntary Aid Detachment) hospital in 1915. ‘Knightshayes At War’ is a special exhibition looking at the history of the hospital which will be on from 1st August to 15th November.
