All Aboard! sculpture painting

Pop in and have a sneak preview of some of the sculptures for the All Aboard! trail. We will be painting some in public on Saturday 28th May (between 11:00 and 1:00). Come in and say hello, and maybe even add a few brush strokes yourself!
The All Aboard! family sculpture trail will be based in Tiverton and the surrounding area 2nd July - 30th October. There will be 21 sculptures in the shape of the Tivvy Bumper steam engine (housed in Tiverton Museum).

Linking with the photographic exhibition, photographic artist Rosie Stott leads a children’s workshop exploring making cyanotype prints. These will use found objects, objects from the museum’s handling collection and craft supplies to create stunning prints on photosensitive paper. Interested adults also welcome to have a go!
Free with admission, donations welcome. Suitable for children aged 5+. Drop in 11:00-3:30.
Tiverton & Heathcoat Photographic Club exhibition

Tiverton & Heathcoat Photographic Club’s annual print & digital image exhibition will be at the museum from 30th April to 10th June 2016. Free entry.

Something a little bit Different’ - a varied programme of music. If the weather is fine then it may be held outside in the grounds, and you would be most welcome to bring your own picnic. Tickets only £5.
Tivvy Textiles family day

Linking in with the Heathcoat 200 anniversary, disover how textiles have been made in Tiverton through the ages. From iron Age spinning through the Tudor days of the wool trade, to the arrival of Heathcoat’s lace machines and through to the modern day. Lots of hands-on activities, crafts and object handling.
Museum admission applies, and charges apply for some activities.
