Monday to Friday 10.30am - 4.30pm                 Saturday 10am - 4pm.

Unless otherwise stated, admission charges for the exhibitions only are: Adults £1.00

Family Christmas Craft Activity

Craft activities with a Christmas theme on Saturday 28th November 11:00-12:30.  £2.50 per child. 

Family craft activities: booking essential (places are limited) and there is a small charge (5Op discount on family craft activities for members of the museum). Call the Museum or email for information.

Barney's Bunch 2-5's Group

Theme: Christmas.

All sessions run 1.3O-2.3O. £2 per child/£1.5O members (admission charge does not apply). Come along and explore the museum through different themes each month with  stories, games and crafts. Please call or email to book a place.


Munitions and Matrons

A temporary exhibition running from 8 August to 19 December. Admission: FREE entry

An exhibition examining the contribution that the Heathcoat Factory made to the war effort during the First World War. From 1915 the factory produced shell cases and components for very early gas masks. The exhibition explores the relationships between the factory and the town, the VAD hospital and the Heathcoat Amory family, as well as some of the stories of the people who worked there.

Knightshayes At War

The Museum and Knightshayes Court have been working together to produce related exhibitions. Knightshayes became a VAD (Voluntary Aid Detachment) hospital in 1915. ‘Knightshayes At War’ is a special exhibition looking at the history of the hospital which will be on from 1st August to 15th November.
