The Museum Education Service
provides lots of enjoyable and informative activities,
at the Museum, for pre-school groups, school groups,
students, those with special needs and for all children
and adults in term time and holidays. Museum objects
can also be brought to your school for handling sessions.

 

Term Time
Activity sessions include lots of hands-on opportunities and are a lively way of gaining historical experience across the curriculum.

A wide range of topics are available - or sessions can be planned to suit your needs - just ask !

Handling Collections
We currently have over 25 collections of artefacts, documents and photographs available for loan.

Teachers
We provide help with visit planning. There are INSET courses held each term, and details of these are included in the newsletter.

Special Needs
We welcome groups with special needs and can adapt any of our activities to your requirements.
