The Museum Education Service.
The service provides a wide variety of inspirational quality, hands-on experiences for pupils of all ages to learn outside the classroom.
Museum objects can also be loaned to your school for handling sessions. Holiday activities are available for children and adults. Look out for our events listing.

School Membership.

School group membership offers several advantages including; entrance fee for assisted visits reduced by £1 per child, which could result in a saving of £30 per class per visit. Free entrance for all children for unassisted visits. Six free Handling Collections per academic year. To discuss details Contact us .

Term Time
Activity sessions include lots of hands-on opportunities and are a lively way of gaining historical experience across the curriculum.

A wide range of topics are available - or sessions can be planned to suit your needs - just ask !
