Coffee Grinder

When the children from Bickleigh-on-Exe Pre-School visited Tiverton Museum, they enjoyed their visit looking round the museum and handling the objects collection.

A Coffee Grinder
They chose as their favourite object the Coffee Grinder. Some of their comments as they explored it and used it in pretend play are written below :

"It grinds beans" -

"It makes coffee" -

"It's made out of metal"

"It's black" -

"Got a gold top" -

"It's got a wooden handle" -

"It's heavy" -

"If you dropped it on your foot
it would hurt" -

"It's held together with screws" -

"It's not electric -
we have to turn it with hands" -

"The handle goes round and round
in a circle" -

"I like turning it " -

"The drawer comes out" -

"The coffee goes into a drawer" -

"The coffee spurts out" -

The children from Bickleigh-on-Exe
decide which object they like the most.
