During the Spring Term 2009 …..
578 children enjoyed the services of the Education Department at
the Museum, like these children from Awliscombe Primary looking at
‘Toys’.

The ‘Darwin in Devon’ tour
Comes to Tiverton for May 2009
The tour is based around Devon’s small museums. Come along to
explore our specimen chests, use a video microscope and find out
more about Darwin, Victorian Collectors and classification.
Costume, Past and Future
Look out for information about the new Costume Exhibition this
summer starting on Saturday 4 July and running through until
September 2009.
Costumes and accessories from the last 50 years will be on
display along with photographs from local people. Great
opportunities for Art and Design topics. Members schools admitted
FREE.
MEMBERSHIP
Yet again no increases in membership charges for
the current year.
Don’t forget to renew your Museum membership. Member schools
have:
Reduced entrance fee for assisted visits by £1 per child
which could mean a saving of £30 per class per visit.
Free entrance for all children for unassisted visits.
Six free Handling Collections per academic year.
