Blackmore\, former pupil at Blundell’s School and author of the much-loved novel Lorna Doone. \nIn partnership with Blundell’s School\, the exhibition features objects\, prints and photographs drawn from both the museum and school archives. \nLearn about Blackmore’s time at Blundell’s\, explore 19th-century life in Tiverton\, and uncover how the town and school inspired parts of his famous Exmoor tale. \nBlundell’s School and Tiverton Museum have drawn from both of their archives to create this exhibition in partnership to celebrate 200 years of R.D. Blackmore.

Suitable for ages 1-4. \nFriday 20th June\, 10.30am – 12pm – Wash Day\nIt’s wash day at Tiverton Museum! Dress up as a laundry maid and help us do the washing. \nEnjoy messy play with our bubble wands\, listen to a story\, make some music or just have fun exploring and playing with our laundry toys and books – there’s lots to keep your little ones amused! \n1 adult free with each child.\nWe’ll have a break for a snack\, so please bring something along to keep little tummies going! \n£4 per child (£3.50 for members).
