We’re committed to keeping all our visitors, volunteers and staff safe. We still have some procedures in place to make sure you can enjoy a safe and enjoyable visit to the museum.
Book your visit
Pre-booking is available if you’d like to plan ahead but isn’t essential. Book your tickets here.
We recommend pre-booking particularly at busy times like school holidays, and for our special event days.
Check our website or social media for any updates before visiting.
If you, or anyone in your party, has symptoms of COVID-19 we ask that you please stay at home. If you have booked ahead we can rearrange your booking to a later date.
When you arrive
Have your tickets ready, either printed or on your phone.
Our staff and volunteers will serve you from behind perspex screens. The screens have been fitted around our front desk area to protect you and our staff and volunteers.
A one-way system with clear signage is in place around the museum. The one-way system is easy to follow and you will receive a map of the museum when you arrive. Please respect that some visitors and volunteers wish to continue maintaining a distance from others.
We are still encouraging visitors to wear masks while visiting the museum, but this is optional. We also encourage our staff and volunteers to wear face coverings in the museum.
We have face coverings available for free if you have forgotten to brings yours and would like to wear one.
We have an enhanced cleaning schedule in place. Staff will regularly clean and disinfect door handles, lift buttons, taps and other surfaces that are frequently touched.
Doors will be propped open in good weather to aid ventilation.
Hand sanitiser is available around the museum for you to use.
We have undertaken thorough Covid 19 risk assessments. Read our visitor risk assessment.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
