We’re committed to keeping all our visitors, volunteers and staff safe. We’ve put a number of procedures in place to make sure you can enjoy a safe and enjoyable visit to the museum.
Book your visit
We are still maintaining social distancing for the safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff; to help with this we are limiting the number of visitors. Book your tickets to avoid disappointment. If you haven’t booked you may be asked to return at a later time slot.
Check our website or social media for any updates before visiting.
If you, or anyone in your party, has symptoms of COVID-19 please stay at home.
When you arrive
Have your tickets ready, either printed or on your phone.
Our staff and volunteers will serve you from behind perspex screens. The screens have been fitted around our front desk area to protect you and our staff and volunteers.
You can opt into the NHS Test and Trace scheme; posters with QR codes are on display in our entrance area.
A one-way system with clear signage is in place around the museum. The one-way system is easy to follow and you will receive a map of the museum when you arrive. Please respect the measures we have put in place and follow social distancing guidance.
We ask that all visitors to the museum wear a face covering during their visit for the safety of all visitors, volunteers and staff, except for children under the age of 11 or those with exemptions.
We have face coverings available for free if you have forgotten to brings yours.
We have an enhanced cleaning schedule in place. Staff will regularly clean and disinfect door handles, lift buttons, taps and other surfaces that are frequently touched.
Doors will be propped open in good weather to aid ventilation.
Hand sanitiser is available around the museum for you to use.
We have undertaken thorough Covid 19 risk assessments. Read our visitor risk assessment.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
