Use our Museum for those investigations you’ve always wanted to carry out!

Access at all other times by prior arrangement. Admission charge to museum on those days includes access to the Research Library.


We have three fiche readers, one film reader and four tables available.
Prior booking is recommended.

It is ESSENTIAL to do so if you wish to search the microfilm copies of Tiverton [St. Peter’s] Parish Registers or the Tiverton Register Office marriage Notice books.

*Research for researchers who are not able to visit the museum will incur a charge. Please contact the Research Library to discuss your query. We ask for an initial payment of £6 (same as our admission fee), we will then undertake the research. (Please allow 14 days after the payment of £6 for a reply). Enquiries that take longer than half an hour will be charged at £9 per hour. Payment can be made via cheque or PayPal (please notify the research team when payment has been made). Once payment is received we will send you the results of the research via email.
