The museum is open!
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we were closed for 5 months. We’ve launched an emergency appeal as we’re dependent on our admission income and have limited cash reserves. You can donate by clicking here.
We recommend pre-booking. Please see our Visitor Information page for our new opening times and booking information.

Family Visitors

Tiverton Museum is the perfect place to head for a family day out.

Explorer backbacks (for visitors aged under 7 and over 7) on a range of themes are available to borrow free of charge from the front desk, along with quizzes and trails. Check the events page to see upcoming craft activties, handling sessions and special events – or email education@tivertonmuseum.org.uk and ask to join the family mailing list.

The site is fully accessible and there is a lift to access the first floor.

Become a Time Detective!

Our younger visitors can use their museum visits to become qualified Time Detectives! Just ask for a passport at the front desk and collect a stamp every time you take part in a activity  at the museum – including craft activities, quizzes and trails and backpacks. Once you have collected six stamps you can become a Time Detective.

When you have collected your six stamps click here to download your certificate.
